Let's pay tribute to the entrepreneur

Happy New Year!

Once you have the entrepreneurial mindset it is difficult to ever think like an employee again. Sometimes I wish I could be as I used to be when I had a job: my last paid position being in 1995!
 (20th anniversary this year :-) )

When I had a job, I could do a day's work, then go home and shut my mind off from the day's activities, secure in the knowledge that there was a paycheck at the end of the month.

As an entrepreneur, I'm continuously having to be thinking of ways to be more creative, of  new ideas. It's become a way of life.We are generally not able to rest on our laurels, or become complacent - because around the corner may be a new set of circumstances to deal with.

Entrepreneurs have only themselves to reply on, and if they don't do what it takes to become successful, they can't expect anyone else to do it for them. We need to be leaders because our actions are our brand, but we don't always feel like being out there!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who suffers from call reluctance: there are a lot of reasons to procrastinate -  about making phonecalls, but once I make them and get those appointments and keep meeting people, I know I am on the right track to making a positive difference with my offerings.

This year I really want to be proud of being an entrepreneur, and not have call reluctance! Entrepreneurs are the future. Job creation depends on its quality.

Isn't it time we welcomed and supported those who choose to make a living though their own personal initiative?

Let's support each other as entrepreneurs, instead of trying to outdo our 'competitors'. We are all unique, and there is more than enough business to go round .
Let's start with an attitude of abundance: Like I am truly grateful for the precious supporters and like minded friends I have.

May you grow bolder and prosper in 2015! B-)
